WHO IS SHE

Y:Are you still a student?

W:I've received my BA degree. Now I am running a taobao shop and on the other hand learning something I'm interested in, such as drawing, designing and stuff.

Y:Then what was your major in your campus years?

W:Management. Governmental management sort of thing. It has nothing related to the designing stuff ha.Despite of some plans to study professional design for woman's wear, I still think the domestic education on clothes design is really commercial. So I prefer learning drawing and some creative projects.

Y:Well, I must call you the freelance. When did you start to post your snaps?

W:I kept the entries in ealier days, mainly on the life. For the streetsnaps, I just took them recently.

Y:Why you call yourself big girl?

W:Cuz big girl is a former blogname. It's Eason Chen's song for his daughter which I adore so much. And also I wanna expand my internet business.

HER IDEA ABOUT FASHION

Y:When did you start to notice FASHION?

W:When I still have no idea about the two words Fashion. My grandpa is a malitary clothes designer. When I was little, I have the opportunities to see a lot of things about tailoring.

Y:What kind of magazine do you usually read?

W:VOGUE ,little thing, and kinda expecting luna. But havent found it yet.

Y:What is your favorite item in your closet?

W:knee-high skirt,one-piece dress,waist-height dress. In sum, dress!

Y:When shopping, do you pay special attention to some brands?

W:IT ,ZARA ,HM. If possible, I would go and see CHANEL regularly.

ABOUT HER BLOG

Y:Who shots you everyday?

W:Mostly my boyfriend

Y:What kind of change does keeping blog bring you?

W:Nothing. Cuz I am keen on dressing up. But something changes in my bf. He's falling in love with photoshooting.

ABOUT HER SHOP

Y:When did you open that shop?

W:Firstly, I just want to sell something I abandon before the graduation. Meanwhile I sell the accessories I designed. Later, it becomes my main business. This summer, there would be much more necklaces and other accessories of my own brand.

Y:What is your item source?

W:It attributes much to my discovery in my campus years. I found a lot of professional shops for exportation.

Y:Any big goal so far?

W:We would like to set up business relations with other companies. In addition, we are eager to make our own brand items. To be honest, I also wanna make magazine.

Y:What do you think is the most fashionable thing or word right now?

W:Zhou Libo.If it should be connected to fashion, I would say my shop rocks.

Y:At last, why not briefly summarise your style?

W:Intersting, girly, vintage, boyish, and kinda pretend to be haute.

Amazing Balmain Blazer

Yolanda Sacristan,Vogue Spain's Chief-in-Editor.

I saw her streetsnap yesterday. Firstly the major color is so pure and white that capture my attention. Then I notice her blazer is Balmain, that studded blazer. Looks fantastically coool. Very simple, neat and tough.

I'm not that into pointed shoulder. I prefer this kind of Balmain, not that striking but remarkably chic.

Why Balmain becomes a hit these two years? No idea. Later I must figure it out!

[Interview]Elenita's Black and White World

Elenita, a Norwegian, fasinated about fashion, fashion and fashion. She began her blog trip cuz a occastional opporturnity.

Dress code:simple, basically black and white, kinda boyish.

What is captivating is her magical power to recycle the outfits and easily mix and match them to be something totally new and edgy.

The following is my interview.

Y=Miss Y,E=Elenita

Y:Hi, Elenita, It's so great to chat with you here. So are you still a student in university?

E:I think, I'm not sure what it is named after the norwegian system.

I am still on my ground education, the one you have before you specify for an occupation.

so Im still doing the math, english, history..

Y:I see, then what kind of major will you choose after your ground education?

E:after that I'm thinking about journalism. That's the plan so far. At least I want to do something creative for a living

Y:I read your blog profile, you wanna work for magazine? a fashion magazine?

E:Yes, that would be a lot of fun as my interest for fashion has grown so much the last year

Y:So tell me what fashion magazine attracts you most?

E:what attracts me is that there is so much creativity going on. Fashion is a way of expressing yourself

like art, music... And I really love to write. what is better than writing about something you're really interested in, right?

Y:I'm sure you keeping blogs will do you great helps. Doing something you really feel passionate really matters. well, do you have any style icon?

E:Hmm.. I don't really have a spesific style icon. I tend to get inspired by many different people and different styles

It all depends on what they're wearing

Y:Where do you usually shop your closet?

E: I really wish we had Topshop in Norway though.I shop mostly at H&M. I'm on a budget so I don't have very expensive clothing habits. what is so inspiring about most fashion blogs. That they are common people just like you and me and can't afford purchasing new things all the time

Y:I saw you won an award, tell me something about it.

E:Yes, I won an award as the best fashionblogger in Norway. It was a contest held by MSN and Costume. Costume is a Norwegian magazine.

Here in Norway we haven't had much focus on it.

Sweden is waaay ahead of us

Y:Back to the fashion magazine, what do you usually read?

E:I am not one of those who spend a lot of money on magazines. The only one I follow is Costume.

The internet provides us with so much good read nowadays so I read mostly there.

Y:What kind of change does this blog bring to you?

E:I've been struggling with an illness named CFS/ME fatigue syndrome.

I created it while I was sick so it gave me a lot of strength and joy to carry on. Especially my readers.I have learned a lot through this time that I've been sick and matured a lot. I have gained a lot of strength and evolved on a personal level. The blog would not have been there if it wasn't for the ME so something good turned out of it

Y:When God close a door, he opens a window for you.

E: Yes, it is.One thing is certain. my style is nothing like it used to be.I have developed a lot when it comes to that.besides I think it is a great way of expressing yourself. Through clothes I've always liked to use my creative skills so I have a lot of fun dressing.

I first got interested in fashion when I started blogging so my illness brought to me a new interest. Fashion has not been a thing that have followed me through my life. It is something that first appeared about a year ago which I am very glad for.

Y:I have the feeling that when you find something really interesting, it's like you find the guideline of life again. Last question, what do you think it's the most fashionable thing at present?

E:Hmmm....

I need to think a little...DIY projects.

People out there are so creative and creates a lot of exciting things. It is really inspirating.

and as the economy has a low-point right now I think DIY will be important in the following time

to create things on your own and change what you allready have

I have a lot of DIY projects in mind, but at the moment I dont have the time to do them

but I have a lot of dresses I want to shorten, and I want to shred a shirt

Y:then hope soon we'll see a lot of your work showing in you blog

She is a very easygoing girl who possesses an excellent communicative skills. In her, I found a kind of perseverance and toughness. Always being creative as she, she has her own fashion philosophy.

Fashion is not about price or money, it's about a creative style.

And someone is the one that really born to have taste of fashon.

The Beautiful Life

In fashion TV programs, we have Sex and the city, Uggly Betty, in Real Show, we have Stylista, Project Runway and recent Running in Heels. All these tv series satisfy the curiocity from the audiences. What is the fashion industry like? Why these people look so glamarous? It's no doubt that these programs to some extend provide answers. No matter whether they are truely reflects the fashion world or not, they have already more or less influenced people's lifestyle and fashion style.

The O.C is the very first TV series about young American life I watched. Mischa Burton and Rachel Bilson leave an fantastic impression on me. They always look gorgeous in streetsnaps and other activites like movie promotion and various awards.

CW has lauched a new TV series recently after a long peirod of the absence of fashion TV series. The Beautiful Life has an amazing cast. To be suprise, former supermodel Elle Macpherson will play a role there. And Mischa Burton will act as a model. It seems like Marisa Cooper is back!

source:mischa-b.com | edited by Miss Y

Elegant Chanel Tops in Mischa. It looks much more rock n'roll.

Christian Dior Polka dots skirt. She looks so lovely and lively. And a hot denim jacket makes her look quite edgy.

Dolce&Gabana Tube Dress. With her cage shoes, she looks so tall and thin.

This one takes me back to the past Mischa life. She used to dress like that. Red sweater, high waist jeans, flat shoes, a little hat, and Ray-Ban sunglasses. Kinda vintage.

LV, LV. Her legging rocks! I love that sparkle green. With that biker jacket, she looks trashy and punk.

I'm expecting this tv series, cannot wait to see it!!!

Backstage portraits

Usually the backstage portraits shows how models behave during the no show time or make-up and hair styling period. They read, laugh, chat, making funny gestures etc.
I am a huge fans for the backstage photoshots, but seldom see the following close-ups.
Behind every face there is a story. Behind every expression, there hides strong emotion.

If we compared the stage to the heaven, models are the lonely angles and the messagers for the fashion designers. They looks glamour and gorgeous but seldom could anyone captures their real inner world below their fabulous appearance.

I saw a video about the training of a supermodel. It shocked me actually. The cruel exercies really killed these young girls. I can totally feel that from the screen. But the long established rule of fashion could not moved, that is beauty is painful.

I prefer the backstage and street shots of these models, simply cuz they looks more real.

In the T-stage, they are actors performing their duties. Off-duty, they are just being themselves.

Watch out, boys!

Editorial: Game Girl

Photographers: Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

Model: Daria Werbowy

Source:tfs

I saw this magazine editorial yesterday from tfs. It's the shooting for Vogue Paris May.

Daria Werbowy suddenly changes into a woman fighter. Fighting against all these unfortunate guys, she shows some kinda feminism.

All I have imagined the story is that maybe she's just kicking these bullies and saving the poor, or maybe she's dumping bfs.

What really worth admiring is the photographer's stunning skills to grab the sudden movement of fight in a second.

And also don't forget the men, they are really professional, acting like action movie star.

About the clothes: Denim jeans and jacket, swinsuits, leopard dots, all these elements reminds me of the American west county's life.

A Vintage Pricess From US

As one of the editor of Streetchic.cn, I emailed to The Stylish Wanderer in about March.
And soon I got her reply and recently I posted an article in the website.
She really rocks! You've no idea how many feedbacks I've received from my Chinese audiences.

In the letter, I asked her about her personal style. Then she replied as follows:

I am a vintage loving, trouser wearing, hat obsessed girl who likes to put on pretty clothing. Vintage is my name, Goodwill is my game, and I have been blogging for about a year. I enjoy simple outfits, like all-black, but occasionally will thrown on something neon. Mostly I just love to have fun with clothes!

Just at the age of 13, she is so apt at making her own style and amazed a lot of editors and fashion lovers.

This girl is some kinda bold and mysterious. I admire that she dares to show herself at her young age. Mystery as I mentioned means that she always hides her eyes using graphic shapes or her fantasitic hats. And most of all, she never reveals her name and exactly location.

Already, she has been an star among fashion bloggers. Today she is vintage pricess and tomorrow definitely Vintage Queen.

I would keep in touch with her and expecting to interview her later on!
